Kumeu

Kumeu is a mid-season feijoa producing great-flavoured medium to large fruit with smooth, light green skin. Named for the Kumeu district west of Auckland. Requires cross-pollination with another feijoa variety for reliable fruiting — plant alongside Apollo, Triumph or Unique for best results. A popular home garden variety producing consistently good quality fruit. Harvest April to May. Growing to 3–4m. Available at specialist NZ feijoa nurseries.
