Kiwi Railway Station

Kiwi Railway Station is a NZ heritage apple — a roadside discovery found growing near Kiwi Station (Waikato region). A pretty apple with attractive red stripes, sweet, juicy and a good eating apple with pleasant flavour. Like other NZ roadside discoveries (Maruia, Tinopai, Hawera plum), it represents the tradition of NZ home growers and nurseries identifying and naming exceptional local seedlings. Requires a pollinator. Mid-season. A genuinely NZ-provenant variety. Available at Wairere Nursery.
