Kidd's Orange Red originated in New Zealand in 1924 — one of the most celebrated NZ-bred apple varieties. A reliable, sweet, aromatic apple with firm flesh ripening at the end of summer. Widely regarded as a parent variety that contributed significantly to subsequent apple breeding, including the Cox's Orange Pippin lineage. A proud part of NZ apple breeding heritage.
