The famous Greek Kalamata table olive also makes excellent oil. Strong vigour and an erect habit. It does not love extremes of temperature, moisture or humidity, so a stable climate is advised. Pollinators include Manzanillo and Koroneiki. Can be a difficult variety to source — worth seeking out from specialist NZ olive nurseries.
