J5 is one of the best-producing olive varieties — a staple commercial variety in NZ producing reliably heavy crops of excellent-sized fruit. A favourite for North Island growers. Good oil content and suitable for pickling. Don't let the commercial variety classification put you off for a home garden — it is equally desirable for its attractive evergreen pale-green foliage. Grows to approximately 5m×3m. Self-fertile.
