Island Blue™ (SH)

Island Blue™ is a Southern Highbush blueberry producing excellent-flavoured, very firm, round berries that are small to medium in size. Southern Highbush varieties have a lower winter chill requirement than Northern Highbush types, making them better suited to warmer North Island growing conditions. Self-fertile. Compact, manageable shrub. Firm texture makes the berries excellent for fresh eating and freezing without going mushy. Available at Wairere Nursery.
