Ice Apfel

Ice Apfel was a roadside discovery. A pretty apple with white skin and a pink flush. These small to medium sized fruit are tart, crisp and juicy. They hang on the tree and can be picked crisp in winter. The original tree was very old and found in the Gowan Valley. There is a chance it is the "Hawthornden" apple, originating in Scotland in 1780.
