Hungry Creek

Hungry Creek is an NZ heritage peach variety producing medium-sized fruit with juicy, firm white flesh and good flavour. A seedling selection from near Hungry Creek Road, Puhoi — a classic example of the backyard heritage varieties that have been quietly maintained by NZ gardeners for generations. Self-fertile. Ripe late February to early March. Available from Koanga Institute.
