Hass

Hass has medium cold tolerance for an avocado. Produces medium-sized, ovate fruit with black pebbled skin that darkens as it ripens. Yellow-green flesh, rich and creamy with a nutty, full flavour. Fruit size ranges from 170g to 390g. The skin ripens black — a useful indicator of harvest readiness. Type A flowers appear in abundance in spring. Grows to around 6m×4m. The world's most widely grown avocado variety and the standard by which others are measured.
