Gravenstein

Gravenstein is an extremely old heritage apple, originating in Denmark, 1669, although it is believed the original seedling may have been discovered in Italy. A pretty apple with red stripes and red blush and large, round fruit. This apple is crisp, juicy, tart in mid-January and sweet in late Feb/March. Useful for eating, cooking, juicing and cider making.
