Golden Queen

Golden Queen is the classic NZ bottling peach — originating in Tauranga in 1908 and still the gold standard for home preserving over 115 years later. Firm, deep orange flesh with deep yellow-orange skin. Important note: Golden Queen is a CLINGSTONE variety — the flesh clings to the stone rather than separating freely. This is actually ideal for bottling as the firm, intact flesh holds its shape beautifully. Also excellent fresh eating. Late season, harvest February. Self-fertile. A beloved NZ heirloom.
