Genoa

Genoa is a thornless Italian lemon variety originating in Genoa, producing large, juicy, sour fruit with a medium-thick greenish-yellow skin. An old heritage variety valued for its thornless habit, making it easier and safer to work with than thorned lemon varieties. Excellent culinary lemon with good juice content. Produces fruit nearly year-round in warm NZ conditions. Self-fertile. A practical and productive heritage variety. Available from NZ citrus nurseries.
