Gala

Gala is one of the world's most popular apple varieties — producing fruit with a rich, aromatic flavour, crisp, dense and aromatic flesh with an excellent combination of sweetness and tartness. Requires approximately 600 chilling hours, making it better suited to the cooler regions of NZ. An excellent fresh eating apple and one of the most widely grown both commercially and in home gardens worldwide. Requires a pollinator. Available at Wairere, Waimea and NZ nurseries nationwide.
