Frantoio

Frantoio olives produce small fruit that are high in oil content. In Tuscany it is considered the premier variety — you may recognise the name from the Frantoio olive oil producers of the region. Frantoio have excellent flavour for pickling too. Highly ornamental evergreen. Does well in a sunny, free-draining spot. Grows to approximately 3m×3m. Self-fertile but crops more heavily with Leccino as a companion pollinator.
