Eustis Limequat

Eustis Limequat is a compact, ornamental citrus tree and the most widely available limequat variety. A cross between a Key lime and a round kumquat, the Eustis Limequat produces heavy crops of small, oval, light yellow fruit with a thin, edible skin. The flavour is tart and juicy, an excellent substitute for lemons or limes in cooking, cocktails, marmalades and preserves. The glossy green foliage and fragrant white blossom make it an attractive container or garden specimen. More cold-hardy than standard limes, though best suited to warmer New Zealand regions (zones 9a and above). Fruit is virtually seedless.
