Encore is a high-vigour mandarin variety, prized for its high ornamental value as well as large crops of easy-peel, firm-fleshed fruit with excellent flavour. Fruit can be left for a long hanging period on the tree, making it particularly suitable for the home orchard garden where picking over time is convenient. Self-fertile. Available from NZ citrus nurseries.
