Delbarestivale

Delbarestivale is an early-season French apple developed by the Delbard Nursery in France in the 1950s, also known as Delbard Estivale or Delcorf. It produces bicoloured fruit with attractive red and orange striping over a greenish-yellow background. The flesh is crisp, open-textured and juicy with a sweet flavour balanced by a hint of tartness, and a slightly perfumed aroma. Awarded the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit in 1998. The fruit stores reasonably well for an early variety, though it is prone to bruising. Requires a pollinator.
