Dayton is an excellent eating apple producing large, red-skinned fruit with crisp, juicy flesh and a mildly tart, well-balanced flavour — not overly sweet, with real character. Notably disease resistant, making it a more sustainable and lower-spray choice for home gardeners. A practical, productive and flavourful variety. Requires a pollinator. Mid-season.
