Coe's Golden Drop

Coe's Golden Drop is a highly regarded mid to late-season European gage plum originating in England around 1800. It produces large, oval, golden-yellow fruit with exceptionally rich, sweet and juicy flesh widely considered to be among the finest flavoured of all European plums. Ripening in late February to March in NZ, it extends the plum season well. Best planted with a Greengage or another compatible European plum as a pollinator. A rewarding variety for the patient gardener, the flavour is worth the wait.
