Clergeau is a heritage European pear variety producing large, pyriform fruit with yellow-green skin flushed orange-red. Smooth, buttery, sweet flesh with good flavour. A reliable, productive variety that performs well in NZ conditions. Mid to late season. Available from Koanga Institute on Quince BA29 rootstock.
