Centurion (RE)

Centurion, a 'Rabbit-eye' blueberry, is known to crop well with firm, medium sized dark blue fruit and great flavour. A low chill, but also cold hardy variety that is recommended for warmer districts including Auckland/Northland. Pollinate with another Rabbit-eye (RE) variety. An easy-care productive plant, it does best in a sunny position in acid soil that does not dry out in summer. Like all Rabbit-eye varieties, Centurion is evergreen. It will grow to around 2.5m.

Released in 1978 by the North Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station and USDA. Parentage W4 x Callaway.
