Cavendish Dwarf

Cavendish Dwarf is the compact form of the world's most widely grown banana variety, producing classic sweet yellow bananas on a plant that reaches 1.5 to 2.5 metres, considerably shorter than standard Cavendish. In NZ conditions the fruit tends to be smaller and thinner-skinned than supermarket bananas, but the flavour is the same familiar sweetness. Well suited to container growing, which allows the plant to be sheltered during winter in cooler regions. Plant in a warm, sheltered, sunny position and protect from frost.
