Candelabra

Candelabra is a chance seedling with an interesting uneven shape and attractive red stripes. The fruit is sweet, juicy and firm. The name is inspired by the tree's lateral branches, which naturally grow horizontally from the central trunk. While it can be eaten fresh, Candelabra is better suited to cider making or juicing than as a dessert apple. Harvest timing has not been formally confirmed. Available from Koanga Institute.
