Calville Blan D'Hiver

Calville Blanc D'Hiver is a celebrated French heritage apple variety with a history stretching back to the 1600s, and one of the highest vitamin C content of any apple variety. Produces large, distinctively ribbed, pale greenish-yellow fruit with aromatic, tender, slightly tart white flesh. Used extensively in classic French cuisine — particularly tarte Tatin, where it holds its shape beautifully when cooked. Also good fresh eating. Late season keeper. A rare and historically significant variety.
