Calamansi Golden Lime (Calamondin)

Calamansi (also known as Calamondin) is a small citrus fruit closely related to the kumquat but not a true kumquat — it is a hybrid between a kumquat and a mandarin. Produces small, round, orange-red fruit with an intensely sour juice used like lime in Southeast Asian cuisine, and a sweet edible peel. Prolific fruiting, compact and excellent in pots. Popular as a ornamental citrus as well as a culinary one. Self-fertile. Available at Flying Dragon Nursery NZ and Exotica NZ.
