Burlatt

Burlatt is the first sweet cherry of the NZ season — ripening in late November to early December ahead of all other varieties. Large, heart-shaped fruit with deep red skin and sweet, high-quality flesh. The earliest cherries are always eagerly anticipated after the long winter gap, and Burlatt delivers that first-of-the-season pleasure. Requires a pollinator such as Lapins or Stella. Grows best in cooler, drier conditions. Available at Wairere and specialist NZ cherry nurseries.
