Brunswick (Dalmatian)
Brunswick (also known as Dalmatian fig) is a heritage fig producing a long, brown-skinned fig with sweet, amber flesh and good flavour. One of the most widely known heritage fig varieties — the 'Dalmatian' name reflects its European provenance. A breba variety — producing an early crop on second-year wood before the main harvest. All NZ figs are self-fertile — no pollinator required. A large, vigorous tree growing to 5m. Good for fresh eating and drying. Available from specialist NZ fig nurseries.
