Bramley's Seedling
Bramley's Seedling originated in the United Kingdom in 1809 and remains THE definitive cooking apple — an attractive green apple with red-orange striping and a flat shape. The very large, acidic, juicy fruit cooks to a superb fluffy purée and holds its flavour magnificently in pies, crumbles, sauces and jams. A tip-bearer. Not suitable for fresh eating but outstanding for cooking and preserving. Partially self-fertile. Late season. Available at Wairere Nursery.
