Blue Diamond

Blue Diamond is a European plum variety producing medium to large, oval fruit with attractive dark purple-blue skin and juicy, sweet flesh when fully ripe. Mid-season. The European plum types (including prune and zwetschgen types) are well-suited to NZ conditions, hardy and reliable. Blue Diamond's attractive skin colour and good fresh eating quality make it a worthwhile addition to the home orchard. Self-fertile. Good for fresh eating and preserves. Available from specialist NZ heritage nurseries.
