Black Walnut (Juglans Nigra)

The Black Walnut, also known as Juglans Nigra, is a large, handsome, fast-growing decidious tree with a single erect trunk & broad crown. Dark-brown edible nuts and highly-valued dark timber. Intolerant of clay and poor drainage, it requires a sheltered site with good rich soil. Cold and frost tolerant, the Black walnut is hardy.

Although self-fertile, you will get a better crop if another Walnut is planted nearby.
