Black Shatoot Mulberry

Black Shatoot Mulberry is a distinctive elongated mulberry variety (also spelled Shahtoot) of Middle Eastern origin, producing long, sweet, juicy black fruit that is sweeter and less astringent than standard black mulberry. Excellent for fresh eating, juice and preserves. Grafted onto Black Mulberry rootstock for reliable performance. Available from Koanga Institute. All NZ mulberry varieties are self-fertile.
