Black Genoa

Black Genoa is a heritage fig variety producing medium to large fruit with deep purple-black skin and red flesh. A well-known variety for NZ home gardens, ripening February to March. Not ideal for drying as the flesh is too moist. Good fresh eating. All NZ figs are self-fertile — no pollinator required. Grows to 3–5m.
