Beurre Bosc

Beurre Bosc is a classic long-necked, brown-russet heritage pear producing large, sweet, juicy fruit with firm, buttery flesh of superb quality. Excellent flavour that develops fully after 3–4 weeks of cool storage following harvest. A premium gourmet pear and the finest brown pear variety. Holds its shape well when poached or baked — a celebrated cooking pear as well as an outstanding fresh eating variety. Requires a pollinator. Mid to late season. Available at Wairere and NZ nurseries nationwide.
