Bert's Bon Chretien

Bert's Bon Chretien is an NZ-selected clone of the classic Bon Chretien (Williams) pear, distinct from the standard Williams Bon Chretien in the Fruitfool database. Selected for NZ conditions and available from Koanga Institute on Quince BA29 rootstock. Medium to large fruit, sweet juicy flesh with good flavour. A reliable heritage pear for NZ home gardens. Self-fertile but crops more heavily with a pollinator. Available from Koanga Institute.
