Bert's

Bert's is a heritage dessert apple producing medium-sized, round fruit with yellowish-russet skin and a red blush. The flesh is firm with excellent, old-fashioned apple flavour. From the Bert Davies collection — the original tree was planted in 1917 in a pear orchard, and is one of two apples in the Koanga heritage apple collection that came from that orchard. Harvest timing has not been formally documented. Available from Koanga Institute.
