Beauty of Bath

Beauty of Bath originated in the United Kingdom in 1864 — a rare, early-season cooking apple with distinctive red stripes, attractive spots and a flat shape. Very sour when picked and best used for cooking, where its early season ripening (from January) makes it valuable for those wanting home-grown cooking apples as early as possible. Self-fertile. A genuine heritage curiosity — one of the few very early cooking apple varieties available in NZ. Available at Wairere Nursery.
