Bearss (Tahitian)

Bearss is a hardier selection of the Tahitian lime producing small, thin-skinned, deep green seedless fruit that turns lime-yellow at maturity. The spreading tree habit is more compact than some citrus. One of the more cold-tolerant lime selections, giving it a slightly wider range in NZ than standard Tahitian. Juicy, seedless, classic lime flavour. Self-fertile. Requires a warm, sheltered position with good drainage. Available at Wairere and NZ citrus nurseries.
