Batley

Batley originates as a seedling tree from the Batley area of the Kaipara district. Produces medium-sized fruit with honey-coloured skin, beautifully accented by a red blush. The peaches are known for their very firm texture and exceptional, sweet flavour. Ripens March to early April — one of the later-season heritage peaches. A rare NZ heritage variety. Self-fertile. Available from specialist NZ heritage nurseries.
