Albany Surprise (sometimes also referred to as Isabella), is black, seeded grape with large very sweet spicy fruit. It is very vigorous and disease resistant, and is hardy in most climates. Although it will likely do well in all climates, it will need a sheltered spot and protected from harsh frosts during spring growth phase.
Grapes will grow in most soils but do better with good drainage and of course they love the sun. It is deciduous. It is also suitable for wine production.
