Claygate Pearmain is a heritage apple originating from Claygate (Surrey, England) in the early 19th century and was discovered by the enthusiast John Braddick. They are considered a top-rate eating apple with soft juicy flesh and a rich aromatic flavour. They are generally uniform in colour with light russeting. A fairly good keeper, they will change to yellow in storage.
