The Taihape Quince originates from a heritage tree at the Brown Sugar Café in Taihape. The fruit is large with smooth, yellow skin. produces prolific yellow-coloured fruit. It is quite fungal disease resistant, which is great for the organic grower. Grows to approximately 3-4m. A good variety for warmer areas including Auckland/Northland.
